Joining Temple Beth Ami

Welcome Letter

Dear Prospective Member,

We are so pleased to hear of your interest in becoming a member of Temple Beth Ami, a caring and inclusive Reform Jewish congregation. We appreciate the opportunity to introduce our spiritual, educational, and social programs to you.

We are proud to be a multi-generational, community-oriented congregation providing a wide variety of educational, social, and social action activities.

One of our greatest assets is our clergy, led by Rabbi Jack Luxemburg, our senior Rabbi for over 30 years. He shares the Bima with our Associate Rabbi, Baht Yameem Weiss, and our Cantor, Larry Eschler. As part of your consideration of Temple Beth Ami, we invite you to join us for services and experience the warmth and spirituality of our clergy and our services. We are a congregation that likes to sing and participate, and we hope that the voices of the congregation will brighten your Shabbat and holidays!

We invite and encourage you to attend any of our programs and activities so that you may sample our many offerings and experience our community first-hand. We have learning opportunities for all ages, community service activities throughout the year, as well as events that are purely for fun.

Please take the opportunity to explore the enclosed materials, as well as our website (www.bethami.org), to learn more about Temple Beth Ami. Once you have reviewed these materials, please schedule an appointment with Diane Ferraro, our Temple Administrator. Diane will be able to answer any questions you may have and show you around the Temple. In the meantime, you can use the enclosed monthly Temple newsletter, the Chadashot, to find services and programs you would like to attend. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call the Temple at 301-340-6818.

Thank you again for you interest in joining Temple Beth Ami. We look forward to welcoming you into our Beth Ami community.

Warm Regards,

Benita S. Marcus
President
