Infusion Shabbat-We are pleased to present three special 1st Friday night "Infusion Shabbat" evenings in 2010/2011. During each of the Infusion Shabbat services, the congregation will experience a different kind of sound or instrument to enhance our overall Shabbat experience. Oneg will feature a mini-performance by featured guest(s).
Our inaugural year was a great success, with congregants enjoying the sounds of guitar, balalaika, percussion, and viola da gamba to name a few.

The Shabbat Tones Uniquely among area synagogues, Temple Beth Ami features a talented, acoustic-electric band that enlivens services and festivals throughout the year. Comprised entirely of Temple members, the Shabbat Tones play in a variety of styles appropriate to the occasion, from traditional to folk to rock 'n' roll. Regular performances occur at the Picnic Shabbat services, Simchat Torah and at the Family Purim Spiel. New instruments are always welcome, especially strings, woodwinds, and brass. SHIR AMI,the Temple Beth Ami Choral Group, is composed of members of the Congregation who bring their love of singing and their voices to enhance our Jewish experience through music. (Hebrew and music reading are helpful, but not required.) Led by Carl Yaffe, the group has the pleasure of performing at High Holy Days, select Shabbat services, the Interfaith Thanksgiving Service in November, and at the Adult Choral Festival in March. Starting back up in November, we will be rehearsing on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. The group welcomes new members at any time. Join us! Please contact Joshana Erenberg if interested.
